I've teamed up with some incredibly talented ladies for a blog loop to share a little spring design inspiration! If you're joining me from another blog tour, welcome! I'm so happy you're here! Don't you just love spring? The sunshine, the spring rain, the blooming flowers, Easter...I love all of these things, but I have to say that most of all I love the new life it brings, the new beginnings. Spring is a great time to bring new life into your home as well, to lighten up and freshen up. Some of my favorite ways to bring spring inside are through things like adding fresh, natural materials, switching out heavier winter throws and pillows for lighter and brighter ones, adding something fresh or colorful wherever you can, such as a new table runner, a simple seagrass rug, or pretty colored dishes, and finally adding fresh flowers or branches. Nothing says spring to me like a fresh bunch of tulips in a beautiful vase. I'm going to take you through how I've add spring touches to my own home, and at the bottom of this post you will find the blog links for the lovely ladies that I've teamed up with who are going to take you on a spring tour of their homes. I hope you'll follow along! There is definitely going to be some unbeatable spring design inspiration going on!
Entryway
Since this is the place that welcomes guests into my home, I want it to look inviting. This is one of my favorite areas to style for different seasons. It's so easy to switch things up to give it a whole new look! For spring, I lightened up my pillows and added that sweet little bunny pillow from Pottery Barn. I also brought in my favorite cherry blossom wreath. I just love that natural element that it brings to the space.
On the other side of my entryway, I simply added some little greenery wreaths and these sweet little porcelain birds to my favorite decorative metal scale for a touch of spring.
Staircase
We have this neat little nook next to our staircase that is created by the curve of the stairs, and I found the most beautiful table from Pottery Barn that fits the space perfectly! Here I just added some boxwood spheres to a wooden tray and some white blossom stems to make the area look fresh and pretty for spring!
Kitchen
In my kitchen, I love to change up the decor on my vent hood ledge for the different seasons. For spring I simply added a pair of boxwood topiaries and and a fresh, springy wreath.
On my island I pulled in a simple tulip arrangement and a bowl of lemons. I mean, come on, what's more fresh than a bowl full of lemons?!
Breakfast Area
My breakfast area is another spot in my home that can be easily changed up through pillows and table decor. I love blue and white, and I actually collect blue and white China, so I wanted to bring a little of that classic look into my breakfast area for spring. I just love how crisp and clean it looks. A tray of blue and white pieces and fresh flower arrangements finishes it off.
Living Room
This is my favorite room in our home. I love the high ceilings, large windows, and all of the natural light. My changes in this room were subtle. Except for Christmas time I pretty much keep the same pillows simply because I love them so much. I added a magnolia wreath to my mantle along with a vase of blossoms, and I replaced the basket of birch logs next to the fireplace with a simple, pretty garden stool. I also added a vase of fresh tulips to the coffee table. Tulips and hydrangeas are definitely my go to flowers.
In our living room built-ins, I simply added a birdcage with some mossy spheres to bring in a little springy freshness.
That's it, friends! Thank you so much for taking my spring home tour! Now hop on over to these lovely ladies' blogs for more gorgeous spring inspiration!
